Kingman Food Bank receives generous donation

KINGMAN — Motorcycles lined historic Route 66 in downtown Kingman for a charity bike wash, locals poured into The Kingman Farmers Market at Thunder-Rode with non-perishable food items, and, generous citizens stopped by Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories with cash in hand, all to benefit the Kingman Food Bank on Saturday, September 12. More than 1,100 people, at last count, came out to support the charity event.

A cash donation as well as a trailer load of food and supplies was delivered to the Kingman Food Bank on Monday, September 14 by Jack Alexander and Amanda Malabad of Thunder-Rode as a result of the tremendous outpouring of generosity from our Kingman community. Alexander stated, “We are so proud of the promotions executed by The Kingman Farmers Market at Thunder-Rode vendors, our motorcycle community, loyal customers, and concerned citizens who stopped by with food, cash donations, and cash for the bike wash, all to benefit The Kingman Food Bank.”

Thunder-Rode will be hosting another charity event this Saturday to support the Kingman Food Bank. There will be a bike and car wash this Saturday, September 19. Cost is $10 for a 10 minute wash per bike and $15 for a 15 minute wash per car. For those who wish to donate without a bike or car wash, Thunder-Rode asks to please bring in canned goods, non-perishable food items, or monetary donations. New vendors will be at The Kingman Farmers Market at Thunder-Rode this Saturday as well as live music, clean restrooms, ice-water, and no fees.
