Transient arrested following motel disturbance

KINGMAN – A transient was arrested after using a chair to try to strike the door of a motel room in the 2000 block of Andy Devine Avenue Monday. Police Chief Rusty Cooper said 25-year old Braxton Legg had caused previous disturbances at the same motel.

Cooper said Legg apparently suffers from “behavioral challenges.” He said Legg was not acquainted with the woman and nine year-old girl inside the room he tried to enter.

Arriving officers contacted Legg as he walked away from the property. Legg was found to be in possession of a usable amount of methamphetamine and booked into jail for disorderly conduct, criminal damage and drug charges.
