Colorado River Open Invitational Tournament in city for holiday weekend

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is once again gearing up for a large sports tourism weekend that is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy.

The 22st Annual Colorado River Open Invitational Tournament (CRIT) is a three-day tournament that will be held Saturday, February 15 through Monday, February 17. The City and AYSO Region 397 will host over 100 teams again this year. The teams will begin to arrive on Friday, February 14 to register and prepare for the tournament. All games will be played at the Rotary Park Soccer Complex at 2315 Balboa Dr.

“AYSO Region 397 puts on a very competitive and organized tournament with teams from cites like Corona, CA, Chino, CA, Ranch Cucamonga, CA, Flagstaff, AZ and Las Vegas, NV, but I always enjoy seeing the energy from the Bullhead City Teams,” City Manager Toby Cotter said. “We look forward to significant impact of this tournament every year and encourage our businesses to welcome youth participants and their families with open arms.”

The City estimates the total economic impact of this tournament to be $3.5 million for restaurants, hotels and retail outlets in Bullhead City and Laughlin.
