Gala to be held for Cornerstone Mission

Dear Editor, Cornerstone Mission, one of the largest non-profit organizations in Mohave County, needs our help!  The mission was invited to apply for a grant by the Arizona Department of Housing and Arizona Housing Coalition (AHC). They applied and were awarded $349,000, in which they used as proof to take out a bridge loan to meet the grant requirements. They were given a timeframe in which the funds needed to be disbursed and stipulations on how and when they needed to be spent. KINGMAN – A state trooper said his life is forever changed by getting run down by a vehicle driven by a serial fugitive. Trooper August Romanski recounted the traumatic encounter at Michael Malerba’s May 3 sentencing hearing. Malerba had allegedly fled three previous law enforcement pursuits that were terminated in the interest of public safety and he was a wanted man when authorities tracked him to a fast-food establishment in Kingman on April 21, 2023. Unidentified body located

BULLHEAD  CITY – The discovery of an unidentified body is under investigation by the Bullhead City Police Department. Agency spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a man walking in a wash reported locating the remains of a man in a desert area off the Bullhead Parkway at about 8:20 p.m. on Monday, May 6. “There were no visible signs of trauma to suggest any foul play,” Fromelt said. “The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Russian Uranium Import Ban Passes Congress Unanimously
