State Land Commissioner Lisa A. Atkins to speak at KRW

KINGMAN – For their first meeting of 2021, Kingman Republican Women will feature as their guest speaker, Arizona’s State Land Commissioner, Lisa A. Atkins.

Commissioner Atkins was appointed to serve as the 21st Commissioner of the Arizona State Land Department by Governor Ducey on June 15, 2015.  As an Arizona native, Lisa combines a well-rounded understanding of the State with more than 40 years of experience in federal and State legislative and policy arenas, focusing on land, water and military issues.

Prior to joining the Governor’s Cabinet, Lisa served for more than twenty years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Bob Stump (Rep. for Arizona’s Third District), and Vice President Public Policy, for Greater Phoenix Leadership, for twelve years. Lisa is well respected in the Arizona community for her involvement in a variety of organizations.

Among her current activities associated with her duties as State Land Commissioner, Lisa serves as the Commissioner of the State’s Natural Resource Conservation Districts and as the State Cartographer. Lisa also serves as the Co-Chair of the Governor’s Military Affairs Commission, as a member of the State Parks Board, the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the Arizona State Board on Geographic and Historic Names and the Governor’s Water Augmentation Council. In 2018, she was honored with the Phoenix Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Kingman Republican Women meet on the 1st Monday of each month at noon.  Meetings are held at the College Park Church Community Center, 1990 Jagerson Ave facing Van Nuys. Meetings are open to the public and membership is not required. There is a $3.00 fee to cover the cost of the meeting room.
