The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan ahead and allow extra travel time for overnight pavement repairs on Interstate 40 and US 93 in Mohave County.
The work, which includes milling the existing pavement and replacing it with new pavement, is scheduled at the following locations:
I-40 at the Fort Rock traffic interchange (milepost 92): Eastbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane from 6 p.m. Monday, July 20, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 21.
US 93 will be narrowed to one lane of alternating north- and southbound travel between the Interstate 40/US 93 traffic interchange and Marble Drive (mileposts 91 to 93). The restrictions will occur nightly from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Tuesday, July 21, and ending the morning of Thursday, July 23. A pilot car and flaggers will be guiding traffic through the US 93 work zone.
A 14-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The speed limits will be reduced.
Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
