Dear Editor,
I have difficulty understanding how a segment of the population is so against any form of socialism, and yet actually support a politician who, it seems, would like to become an autocratic leader of this nation. He is lauded as the next coming, radio hosts hype him, people vote for him, and send money to make sure he remains in power. This they idolize, yet they detest and abhor anything smacking of universal health care.
When Trump was interviewed by Chris Wallace he was asked directly if he would accept election results if he did not win. Trump responded by indicating we will have to see. It needs stating again, candidates do not have to win the popular vote to become president thanks to our Electoral College system.
Lets wait until the insurance companies realize how financially burdensome this virus has become to their bottom line finances and start figuring out ways to weasel out of paying the capitalistic hospital systems for charges incurred by weeks of care in an I. C. U. while on a ventilator. Will universal health care have more appeal when the bills start rolling in and patients realize who really is responsible for making the payments.
Shall we look at the economy? It’s rolling along. But how does it not, with all the regulations being removed which are meant to protect future generations. There will be rivers so polluted even a fish could not survive life in the water. A sky so dirty that today’s masks won’t begin to offer protection.
I wonder how many viewers watch Martha McSally’s television ads bashing Mark Kelley for getting millions of dollars from tax payers, then laying off workers, does it not occur someone had to be hired in order to be laid off? And where do they find people to regurgitate this bilge on television?
