BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City firefighters battled a residential structure fire Monday. Crews responded at 7:52 p.m. to the fire in the 400 block of Fox Drive.
Spokeswoman Lori Viles said first-arriving personnel encountered a single family residence 50% involved in fire. Mohave Electric Company responded to handle a downed power line that was arcing in the back yard.
“Utilizing the deck gun, firefighters were able to attack the blaze aggressively allowing crews to make an entry for the interior fire attack,” Viles said. “Additional manpower performed an aggressive offensive attack through the rear doors.”
Once the fire was brought under control, firefighters located a deceased dog within the heavily damaged home. A male occupant was treated on scene for a forearm burn.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
