County Fair grows in attendance, revenue

KINGMAN – The 2024 Mohave County Fair was a huge success, surpassing the 2023 event. Last year’s 2023 Fair attendance was 21,668 people and the grand total income was $165,534.

Parks Administrator Jeremy Palmer reports this year’s attendance was 1,444 more for a total of 23,112.  The revenue was substantially higher at $261,127.25.

County Public Works Director Steve Latoski applauded “the hard work, talents, and amazing creativity of our county youth and community” by highlighting “the remarkable Fair exhibit entries and livestock and agricultural activities.” He added that the County Parks made the Fair experience enjoyable by all ages and fairgoers with a penchant for great food, activities, and entertainment.” Latoski thanked the patrons of the fair who attended and concluded, saying the county looks forward to next year’s Fair.

County Manager Sam Elters adds, “I am very pleased with this year’s County Fair success and am very grateful and proud of all the county staff and awesome volunteers for their commitment and hard work to achieve this success. The County Fair is all about the community spirit of coming together in joy to celebrate and show talent and that is indeed what we experienced at this year’s County Fair.”

The county fair organizers believe the combination of the sponsors, multiple organizations, performers, exhibitors, concessionaires, and vendors, collectively made it another fun-filled fair experience all enjoyed. County employees, many volunteers, and support staff were a critical and successful alliance of team players who made all the parts a vibrant whole.
