A thank you to the Veterans Day Parade entries and volunteers

Dear Editor,

The Kingman Downtown Merchants Association would like to thank the community and all of the entries for this year’s Veterans Parade. As you know in 2020 it was cancelled due to the pandemic and we were determined to have a parade this year 2021 thinking that it would be small but the attention and efforts well deserved. However, it was very exciting to have the largest parade ever, with both attendance and registrations to show our support to our veterans. The message was heard loud and clear: Thank you to all members of our military, in all branches, past and present, living and dead. On this day, we honor all current and former members of the Armed Services.

We salute you!

The Veterans Parade was brought to you by our sponsors: Kingman Downtown Merchants Association, Kingman Regional Medical Center, Con Roc Ready Mix, The Standard Newspaper, Black Sheep Ink Tattoo & Piercing, Lingenfelter Center, 66 Auto Sales, Arizona Sommers Cooling & Heating, TNC Insurance, JM Eagle, Thunder Rode Motorcycle Accessories, West Coast Netting, Edward Jones/Matt Laddendecker, HQ Portables, JAVC and The City of Kingman. Thank you!

We send Congratulations and a ‘thank you’ for your service to our Coast Guard Grand Marshalls, Dave Stafford, Michael Barker, and Mike Slovic.

Veterans Parade Committee & Volunteers:  Joni Millin (Chairman); Jamie Russell (Co-Chairman); Dave Stafford (Grand Marshall); Dave Reif (KPD); Oscar Lopez (KFD); City of Kingman staff members Jack Plaunti, Yvonne Cossio, Jerry Sipe, TC Cantrell; Veterans Court Jessica White and several of her team; Bill Burrows; Paul Denublio; Jim McGeachy; Bradlee Macken; Joey McEuen; and several others who stepped in the day of the event. This event takes a lot of commitment, and we appreciate your time and your attention. Thank you!

Mark your 2022 Calendars now for next year’s parade will be held on Nov. 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Downtown Kingman on Beale Street.
