National Night Out is October 2

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments, along with Mohave Electric Cooperative, will host National Night Out this Wednesday, October 2nd at 5 p.m., in the Bullhead City Police Department parking lot, 1255 Marina Boulevard. 

National Night Out is America’s largest crime prevention event that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Cambell Regatta Boat Club celebrated 52nd anniversary

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Last week, the Campbell Regatta Boat Club celebrated the legacy of a gone, but not exactly forgotten historic gatherings of boat lovers. The club’s annual 52nd anniversary celebration took place on Friday, September 20 at Shugrue’s Bridgeview Room.  

Campbell Boats was founded by Bob and Billy Campbell of Burbank, CA. The company built fiberglass wood boats in the 17- to 40-foot range. In 1970, the company was moved to Lake Havasu City and was sold to Bob and Judy Whelan.

Parents arrested for endangerment

BULLHEAD CITY – Parents high on drugs were arrested when discovered asleep in a vehicle with their young children in Bullhead City. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said officers responded to a to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a business in the 2300 block of Miracle Mile at 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 26.

“The adults in the vehicle were unresponsive due to being under the influence of drugs,” Fromelt said. “Officers had to yell and bang on the vehicle windows to wake up the parents.”

Fromelt said three children (ages three, six and six years old) were sleeping in the back seat.
