Lake Havasu City primary election is July 30

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A reminder Lake Havasu City is holding a Primary Election on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, for the purpose of electing three Councilmembers. Voter registration for the Primary Election closes on July 1, 2024, at midnight. Residents may register, re-register, or change voter information by completing a voter registration application on the Mohave County recorder’s website at www.mohave.gov or online at www.servicearizona.com.

Early voting opens Wednesday, June 3 for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – Thousands of Mohave County residents can be expected to take advantage of the early voting window that opens next Wednesday, July 3. The majority of the county’s registered voters have been casting ballots early for years, as was evident in the local 2020 primary election.

“There were 41,855 (people) who voted. 32,557 of those were voters that voted early,” said Mohave County Recorder Lydia Durst.

Anniversary of Dobbs decision commemorated with movie viewing

KINGMAN – On the eve of the 2nd anniversary of the controversial Supreme Court’s “Dobbs decision” overturning Roe v. Wade, the Mohave County Democrats had a recent gathering to finish collecting signatures and having notaries notarize the Arizona for Abortion Access initiative petitions that circulators have been collecting signatures from Mohave County voters since October of last year. The afternoon also included a showing of the movie “Call Jane.”
