Three perish in fatal crash

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Three people were fatally injured in a traffic accident that shut down Highway 95 south of Lake Havasu City at 4:42 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said a northbound Kia Forte crossed the center line of the highway, resulting in a collision with a southbound Lexus sedan.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves said the name of the 64-year-old Lake Havasu City woman in the Lexus who was dead at the scene is initially withheld.

“The driver and passenger from the Kia are United Kingdom nationals and died on impact,” Graves said. “Their identities are pending.”

The crash is under investigation.
