St. John’s Blood Drive a success

KINGMAN – St. John’s hosted a blood drive on Saturday, Jan. 22 for Vitalant. They were able to collect 60 units of blood, including 18 “doubles” (donors who gave 2 pints). Dave Kopecky, one of the donors, said that the worker he spoke to was excited for St. John’s blood drive.

“They were really happy because they [were] really depleted and their [visits to St. John’s] usually get in the mid 40s. She said that many of the places they hold blood drives are at factories in the Vegas area, and with so many people working from home or sick, they have had places where normally they would get donations in the hundreds and are only seeing donations in the 20s.”

St. John’s and Vitalant would like to thank everyone who came out to donate! Their next blood drive is scheduled for the end of May.
