Read Don Heck’s letter from the Sept. 15 edition. While I agree with much of what he espouses; although I question his denigration of the media in general, if the facts are reported and you don’t like what you read / hear, you cannot just lambaste reports as fake news.
I have to say, Mr. Heck does know how to put a spin on his opinion though. His quote, “Author – An old white Nationalist … is a real patriot,” would lead most to think he is a nationalist who is white. However, do as he suggests. Google “White Nationalist.” There you find the ugly truth. “White Nationalism is a type of nationalism or pannationalism which espouses the belief that white people are a race and seeks to develop and maintain a white national identity. Its proponents identify with and are attached to the concept of a white nation … focusing on the alleged inferiority of non-whites.”
White Nationalist is surely not what Mr. Hicks professes he is, because that would be deplorable.
