Dear Editor,

I just may be howling at the moon but what was that strange performance I saw on TV the other night with Katie Britt? I’m clueless to who she is other than she represented her party with their response to our President’s State of the Union address. After hearing his speech I was hopeful and uplifted, just what our country needs right now. But then came the crazy lady in the kitchen who referred to herself as “the mama on a mission,” acting and talking in a creepy kind of way that reminded one of that movie “The Stepford Wives.”

Her presentation felt like it had some kind of underlying sinister twist to it as if trying to tell us if we don’t come to their side and live their way of life, we’re all going to go to hell in a handbasket.

It was weird to say the least and some scary you-know-what. After fact-checking the 12-year-old girl she described in gruesome detail that was forced into a migrant sex trafficking gang here in the United States actually happened in Mexico when former President Bush, Jr., was in office, and had nothing to do with a migrant situation, and didn’t happen on Biden’s watch.

So what was the point? I think we all know the answer to that … make it cringeworthy as possible to strike fear in the hearts of all those watching and listening. Needless to say, the woman who confided in Katie Britt about what happened to her when she was a girl. Ms. Britt embellished on it with lies and pretenses that made this young woman feel victimized again, only this time for Katie Britt to gain notoriety for herself and points for her party. Where is the humanity in that?

Like I always so, if something doesn’t feel right it usually isn’t, and that was one weird talk Katie gave in her kitchen. I’m seeing now many felt the same way I did … maybe there’s still hope for us yet!

Before she even finished I switched the channel. Her Stepford Wives performance was over the top and a little too creepy for me.
