BULLHEAD CITY – Personnel from the Bullhead City Fire Department battled a residential structure fire Tuesday, Oct. 15. Crews responded at 3:06 p.m. to the incident in the 1200 block of Wilson Road.

“Firefighters quickly pulled an attack line, making entry into the residence for search and rescue, confirming that no one was inside of the home,” said agency spokeswoman Lori Viles. “Battalion Chief Livermore arrived assuming command reporting heavy fire on the roof was increasing and ordered the interior crews to back out and take a defensive approach.”

Viles said firefighters used the aerial master stream on Ladder 711 to extinguish the fire burning on the rooftop knocking the blaze down and gaining control of the fire. Mohave Electric Cooperative and Southwest Gas arrived on the scene securing the utilities as crews began the overhaul process.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Viles said no injuries were reported during the incident but that a female occupant was treated for breathing difficulty.
