Speaking at Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s April 19 meeting was Leah Stagg, Curator and soon-to-be Director of Mohave County Historical Society upon the retirement of Shannon  Rossiter this summer. Among the upcoming projects of the historical society is the restoration of Kingman’s old jail whose doors were locked in 1968. The society is currently seeking financial assistance and volunteers with a construction background for the project. Speaking on area museums, Stagg noted the best artifacts are those that can be touched and enhanced by technology through QR codes. Mohave Museum of History and Arts has an artifact table that says “Touch Everything”. For further museum information log on to mohavemuseum.org .
