Sounds of Kingman is pleased to bring you the “Chris Hiatt Experience,” in an extra-special concert event to be held on Saturday, March 21, at the Mohave County Fairgrounds from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Seating is, however, limited.

Chris Hiatt is a well-known and widely experienced Blues guitar player in the Texas style of the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughan. “Chris Hiatt doesn’t just play the guitar. . .he becomes one!” That was the review of the Portland, Oregon music critic S. P. Clarke, upon experiencing the sound of Montana native Hiatt. Many guitarists find their own way to progress at their craft. For Chris that was is also his passion. He finds himself playing live on stage some 300 dates per year. The band has been invited to perform for over nine years at the Brews and Blues Festival in Laughlin.

Hiatt has self-produced five albums since his first, critically acclaimed “Dreaming of Miranda” in 1997. He and the group perform several of his own compositions, to the delight of audiences both in the U.S. and Europe. The group’s CDs will be on sale at the performance.

The “Chris Hiatt Experience” boasts, in addition to Hiatt himself, Darwin Scott on bass guitar and vocals, and Chris “Crash” Klettke on drums and vocals.

Refreshments will also be available for sale; beer, wine, soda, and water provided by the Powerhouse Kiwanis, as well as Papa’s Gourmet Kettle Corn, will be on site.
