BULLHEAD CITY – After 35 years with the Bullhead City Police Department, Deputy Chief Dennis DeSantis is retiring.  

Deputy Chief DeSantis began his career with the Bullhead City Police Department on March 24, 1986. He served as a traffic motor officer, bomb technician, a detective in criminal investigations and vice/narcotics and has worked his way up through the ranks, most recently serving as Interim Police Chief.

“On behalf of the Bullhead City Police Department, I’d like to thank Deputy Chief DeSantis for his service,” said Bullhead City Police Chief Robert Trebes. “He is the longest serving employee in the City of Bullhead City’s history and his institutional knowledge will definitely be missed.”

Deputy Chief DeSantis also received training and/or certification for General Instructor, Field Training Officer, sniper scout, Advanced Accident Investigation, HDS Bomb Technician and Explosive Entry, Arizona HazMat, Clandestine Lab, Motor School and Accident Reconstruction.

“The City of Bullhead City has changed a great deal since 1986. There were some growing pains and learning curves to overcome, but the future looks very bright for the citizens and the employees,” said Deputy Chief DeSantis. “It’s been an honor to serve with you all and I wish everyone the best in their professional and personal lives.”

Deputy Chief DeSantis plans to enjoy his retirement spending time with his family, camping, golfing and fishing. Congratulations on your retirement and thank you for your service and dedication to the community!
