MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Development Services could lose its Director and top clerical staff member next week. Development Services Director Tim Walsh remains a finalist, along with Edward Dickie, for possible selection for the Kingman City Manager position.

More than 40 people applied for the job following the contract termination for former City Manager Ron Foggin last August. Deputy Manager Tina Moline is serving as Acting Manager following the early Feb. exit of interim Manager Grady Miller for a new job in Cave Creek.

Walsh and Dickie were interviewed during a five-hour long Kingman Council executive session on Tuesday, Feb. 27. The Council will take up the personnel matter during another executive session at the end of its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 5.

Development Services Administrative Specialist Laura Skubal is recommended for appointment as Interim Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. A panel interviewed Skubal this week along with internal county employee applicants Amber Dale, Amanda Nye and Roxann Turner.

The recommended appointment of Skubal will be considered during the Monday, March 4 meeting of the Board of Supervisors. Clerk Ginny Anderson is stepping down on March 8, after accepting another job that will allow her to be closer to family.
