BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department was awarded grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZ GOHS) for the purchase of 10 additional portable breath testing devices. The CMI Inc. Intoxilyzer 800 devices were acquired with grant funds awarded by AZ GOHS to further the Bullhead City Police Department’s efforts in detecting impaired drivers and removing them from our roadways.

“This recent award from GOHS allows us to replace some of our older devices and to put new devices in the hands of more of our department members,” said Bullhead City Police Department Traffic Sergeant Eddie Espinoza. “We want to express our sincere thanks to Director Torrez and his team at AZ GOHS for their continued support of our DUI enforcement efforts here in Bullhead City.”

The police department wants to remind motorists to always plan ahead and arrange a designated driver, call a cab or utilize ridesharing options when drinking.

The Bullhead City Police Department strives to make our roadways safe for residents and visitors and it’s theircommitment to help stop impaired driving.
