LAKE HAVASU CITY – Havasu Silent Witness is seeking local residents to serve as volunteer members on the Board of Directors. Formed in 2000, Havasu Silent Witness endeavors to make a positive impact on crime in Lake Havasu City. Havasu Silent Witness is dedicated to creating a safer community by working in partnership with citizens, media, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department. While Havasu Silent Witness works closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, it is a separate, community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All rewards paid out are funded through private donations from the community and community-based fundraisers.

Members of the Silent Witness Board support local law enforcement by encouraging citizen participation in the prevention and solution of crimes. The Board meets approximately six times a year and provides oversight of cash rewards, organizational fundraising activities, and receives information on local crime trends. Volunteers for the available positions must be able to pass a local background check conducted by Lake Havasu City Police Department, as well as attend meetings and community events.

Havasu Silent Witness members can be found at several upcoming events around town to include: First Friday on March 1 and April 5, and The Craft Show at the park on McCulloch Blvd. N. and Querio Dr. on March 16 and March 17.   Please feel free to stop by their table to find out more information and enter to win a raffle prize.

Lake Havasu City residents interested in serving on the Havasu Silent Witness Board are encouraged to send an email to Jeansimonian49@gmail.com or send a message to HAVASU SILENT WITNESS on Facebook.
