MOHAVE COUNTY – Dr. Chad Kingsley is stepping down as Director for the Mohave County Department of Public Health, a position he held for nearly two years. Kingsley will be relocating to the silver state where he has been selected to serve as the new District Health Officer of Northern Nevada Public Health.

Kingsley and two other finalists from a pool of 90 applicants interviewed in Reno last Thursday, March 28.

“We were thrilled to have so much interest nationally with this very important position for our community,” said Krisopher Dahir, Chair of the District Board of Health. “I was pleased that after a rigorous process that Chad Kingsley was selected. We will get to work quickly with him to make this selection official so that we can continue to best serve the public health needs in northern Nevada.”

Kingsley will succeed Kevin Dick, who retires late this month. April 26 will be Kingsley’s last day in his current job with Mohave County planning to begin recruiting his successor early next month.
