Deadline approaching for annual Dash 5K Run/Walk

KINGMAN – Dig It Kingman Community Gardens is going into its seventh year of growing and creating community. Their annual Dig It Dash 5K Run/Walk will be held April 1 beginning at 8 a.m. The route begins and ends at the garden, 2301 Lillie Ave. The route will be on both dirt and sidewalks.
Although it will be April Fool’s Day, the theme will be Mardi Gras. Starbucks will be on site serving beverages and snacks. There will be a children’s run around the garden at 7:30 a.m. before the adult run/walk. There will be post-race snacks and awards for top male and female overall, top master male and female (over age 40), and also the top three for men and women in each age category.
Race fee is $25 until March 24 and $30 March 25 through March 31, and $35 on race day. The children’s run fee is $10 for kids under 10 through March 31 and $15 on race day. All racers registering prior to March 20 will receive a T-shirt.

Proceeds from the annual event will fund Dig It’s ongoing beautification and rejuvenation program, garden education classes and children’s events. 2023 Dash sponsors include Mangelsdorf Dentistry, Arizona Humane Society, Anderson Ford, Rouha Khan/Rouha’s Garden, Cerbat Dental Group, Sweet Drought Candy Company, The Hen House, The DiCarlo Family and Chicago Title.
