Havasu man torches bedroom

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man was arrested just before midnight Monday, Feb. 27 after fire department personnel responded one hour earlier to a residential structure fire in the 1100 block of Regency Drive. No one was injured in the fire that damaged the rear of the duplex.

“During the course of a police investigation, it was found that 69-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Franklin Robertson intentionally started the fire within a bedroom of the residence, which subsequently caused the structure to be engulfed in flames,” a press release said.

Robertson was jailed for arson of an occupied structure.
