Kingman Concert Band presents “All That Jazz”

KINGMAN – The Kingman Concert Band in conjunction with its community partner Journey Church is proud to present “All That Jazz” Concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Journey Church, 3782 N. Bank St. Volunteer members of the community band will present an evening of jazz music ranging from traditional to big band selections. The performance will feature trombone soloist, Michael Santmyer, in “What a Wonderful World” as well as the jazz trio of Stephanie Firestone (flute), Jerome Llagas (piano) and Don Gragg (drums) performing “Irlandaise” by Claude Bolling. The concert is free and open to the public.
The community band will be holding a raffle to help sustain the non-profit organization’s operating costs. The raffle features 15 prizes from area businesses and craftsmen including two rooms/one-night stay and dinner for four ($500 value) at the Hualapai Mountain Lodge sponsored by Fork in the Road. Tickets are available from any band member or by contacting the group; $1 each or $5 for six tickets. The drawings will be held during the February 28 concert. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
