Tug of War at the Beach slated

BULLHEAD CITY – Get ready for war Bullhead, Tug of War, that is. Starting 10:30 a.m. of National Tug of War Day, Sunday, February 19, at the southern beach of Bullhead Community Park, teams of local friends and colleagues will gather to participate in a raw battle of strength and the title of 2023 Tug of War Champions. This annual tournament will pit coed teams of 6 contestants against each other. Each team will consist of three men and three women, with no weight limits. The winning team of the tournament will receive a traveling trophy they will carry with them until the next Tournament in 2024.
“We’re really excited to see who has what it takes to be Bullhead City’s Tug of War Champions,” said Bullhead City Recreation Supervisor Karen Spletzer. “I expect to see great performances from the Bullhead City Police Department, the Bullhead Fire Department, Bullhead Fitness, Planet Fitness, Mad Dog Fitness, and The City’s City Manager Department, along with other local businesses, families, and friends, if any of them are brave enough to participate.”
The event is free of charge for participants and spectators. Any group of 6 individual adults, consisting of three women and three men can become a team and compete in the Tug of War tournament.
