No more Dollar Stores for Kingman
Dear Editor,
First, I just want say ‘thank you’ to Travis Lingenfelter for his stand against the invasion of the Dollar General stores here in Kingman. I know many people who leave Kingman to go to Bullhead City or even Las Vegas to go shopping. That is ridiculous. The county supervisors need to stop this nonsense! We need grocery stores, department stores and other decent retail businesses, not more Dollar Stores! Kingman lags way behind the other towns in Mohave County in this area. Sounds like we need some new supervisors!

and exactly how would the county board of sups prevent another 99 dollar stores ? …. just do what alot of us do. do go into them

I rarely go into dollar general..I would say 3 times year (lucky) there’s nothing in these dumps that can’t find in safeways/although more expensive…but I would sooner go into Henderson trader Joe’s or the other world maRket..have lunch at the organic restaurant..

The only thing I buy in Kingman is groceries and maybe gas. Absolutely nobody questioned J C Penneys when they pulled out. Absolutely nobody even cared. You reap what you sow. You can buy dope in this town you just can’t buy a good pair of leather shoes.
