KINGMAN – The community is invited to celebrate the second anniversary of Jungle Smoke and Vape, at 117 N. Sixth St., on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a raffle for a quilt of valor and store products values at more than $2,000. Mohave County Sheriff K-9 Foundation Board Member Ray McCool is all smiles after receiving a $1,000 check from Jessi Brent and Dan Nemphos, owners of the T-Mobile store in Kingman, on Saturday, Dec. 28. Brant and Nemphos, residents of Bullhead City, donated $1,000 to the K-9 Foundation to be used for the purchase of new K-9s, K-9 training schools. Food, vet care (medications and severe-injury-health insurance), all other associated costs including specialized equipment and training certificates, and they are handled through the foundation. BULLHEAD CITY – One dog remains at large, one was rescued and a third perished in a mobile home fire in the 1300 block of Ramar Rd., on Saturday, Dec. 28. The residents of the home were able to evacuate safety; two women were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, and taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for evaluation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
