MEADVIEW – Human remains located this week in a remote desert area near the Meadview Overlook have been connected to a more than three-year-old missing persons case.

Brandon Parish, 19, was last seen in the Meadview area in Feb., 2021, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said family members reported him missing in March, 2021.

Mortensen said a review of the site where the discovery occurred at about 9:43 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, has authorities believing the remains are those of Parish. She said an autopsy by the Medical Examiner will attempt to determine positive identification and cause of death.

Mortensen said evidence at the scene of the remains provided no indication of foul play.

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City has canceled the last Farmer’s Market of the season scheduled for Saturday, May 2.

“It is in the best interest of the community to cancel the last Farmer’s Market of the year due to COVID-19,” City Manager Toby Cotter said. “We had approximately 5,000 people at the February event. It is a highly attended event.”

The Farmer’s Market will be closed June-September and re-open for its next season on Saturday, October 3 at Community Park.

“Bonnie and her volunteers, along with the city recreation staff, have put together one of the best Farmer’s Markets in the region. It’s really unfortunate that the community had to miss these two recent events, but they will be back stronger than ever in the fall,” Toby Cotter said. The dates of the next seasons Farmer’s Market are October 3, 2020, November 28, 2020, February 6, 2021, March 6, 2021, April 3, 2021 and May 1, 2021.
