Statewide Bashas’ hiring event

MOHAVE COUNTY – Bashas’ family of stores is holding pop-up hiring events across the state of Arizona this Saturday Sept. 18 at every one of its 114 grocery stores and distribution centers. The grocer aims to fill more than 850 full-time and part-time positions.

All events will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at every store and distribution center. Every location will have a welcome table with signage and a table for on-the-spot interviews so managers can hire job applicants immediately.

Job applicants are encouraged to visit the location they would like to work. Anyone seeking delivery driver or order selector positions should visit a distribution center, and anyone interested in retail positions should visit a store location.

During the event, applicants can complete paperwork and interviews, and have the opportunity to be hired on the spot. Applications can be completed in advance online at jobs.bashas.com.

Face masks, social distancing, and a health/temperature check will be required at every location.

The grocer has immediate openings for the following positions:

  • Delivery drivers
  • Order selectors
  • Bakery managers, pastry chefs, cake decorators, and bakery clerks
  • Sushi chefs, meat cutters, and meat salesclerks
  • Gourmet chefs, BBQ chefs, and outside grillers
  • Bistro and deli managers, bistro cooks, bistro and deli clerks
  • Starbucks managers and baristas

People who work in the food service industry, particularly restaurants, lost their jobs during the pandemic. They were hired by supermarkets, but now that their old employers are opening back up, those workers are returning to their former positions. “The grocery business is strong, and never dropped,” said Ralph Woodward, Senior Vice President of Bashas’ Family of Stores. “We gained customer traffic and are looking to add to our store teams.”
