LAKE HAVASU CITY – Cozy up this season with a delicious hot soup in a beautifully crafted bowl. The time has come to share your charity with this year’s Empty Bowls Project.
St. Vincent dePaul is a voluntary organization whose core values are to service people in need of clothing, employment, and food. For centuries, St. Vincent dePaul has helped millions who are experiencing poverty become self-sufficient.
The organization is inviting the community to their Empty Bowls event. Since 2018, the project has helped raise $20,000.
Attendees will be able to choose a handmade bowl of their choice. The clay bowls are donations provided by local artists.
There will be a silent auction and bowls of soup available for purchase at $20. This event will be taking place on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The silent auction will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the bowl room will be open from noon to 2 p.m. at The Kaws in Lake Havasu.
Funds made at the event will go directly to St. Vincent dePaul food bank. The Empty Bowls Project can get you in the spirit of giving back to those less fortunate.
