KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to inform the community that Catholic Charities of Arizona will be hosting a neighborhood meeting on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 P.M., to discuss their upcoming transitional housing project. Catholic Charities of Arizona purchased the Route 66 Motel located at 2939 E. Andy Devine Avenue as part of their Housing for Hope program, with the intent of renovating it into a 20-unit transitional housing facility. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Manzanita Elementary School gymnasium located at 2601 Detroit Avenue.

The City’s community development department reviewed the Catholic Charities of Arizona Housing for Hope project and found that it was in compliance with the City’s rules and regulations. The City Attorney’s Office was asked to verify compliance with the City’s zoning code. This project is located in C-3 zoning which allows for a significant number of uses including this project.

The City of Kingman is not a partner in this project but understands the importance of community notification and participation in the process.
