New Beginnings Fellowship to have new digs

KINGMAN – The New Beginnings Fellowship is eager to develop a new church property in Kingman. A Conditional Use Permit for the project was approved during the Aug. 14 meeting of the Kingman City Planning and Zoning Commission.

The church is planned on a 3.15-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Riata Valley Road and Western Avenue.

“There’s some vacant property adjacent to the site to the west and to the south. There’s also an assisted living facility to the south, an auto dealership to the south and single-family residential uses to the east and north,”

Mohave Community College Men’s Soccer notches first win of inaugural season

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Men’s Soccer has recorded its first win of the inaugural season! The Bighorns topped Wyoming’s Gillette College 2-0 in non-conference play on Saturday, Aug. 24.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation invites all individuals, groups, and businesses interested in participating in the upcoming Fall Fun Fair to attend one of the scheduled committee meetings on Wednesday, September 4, at either 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m., at the Aquatic Center in Room 155/156, located at 100 Park Avenue.

Mohave Community College Men’s Soccer kicks off inaugural regular season

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Men’s Soccer opened regular-season play on Thursday, Aug. 22, with the inaugural squad falling 3-1 to Wyoming’s Northwest College. Men’s Head Coach Camilo Valencia says the Bighorns performed well in the first official outing of the season, adding that recovery will be the focus leading up to the next matchup.

“It was a proud moment to finally see our team on the field for a season game after a long wait,” Valencia says.
