LHC fire to adopt new chest compression sytem

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Last week’s Lake Havasu City Council meeting announced that the fire department will now be using the LUCAS 3 Chest Compression System. This system is a better way to administer chest compressions and can preserve circulations that are life-saving throughout lengthy resuscitation attempts. This system has been extensively studied as an effective and safe method to save lives.  Board members also announced they will be hosting an open house for the second bridge feasibility study. Former deputy makes court appearance five years late

KINGMAN – A former Lake Havasu City police detective accused of stealing undercover investigation funds from the Department and committing evidence room crimes more than a decade ago made a Mohave County Superior Court appearance in Kingman Wednesday, nearly five years after a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to make appearances in his criminal case from some 3,000 miles away.  An internal investigation that began in the spring of 2013 led to John Johnson’s resignation in 2016, his relocation to Massachusetts, and a 48-count felony indictment for forgery, fraud and theft charges. Gloria M. Salazar Richhart

Gloria M. Salazar Richhart, age 84, passed peacefully at her home, with her beloved husband of 62 years, on January 21, 2024. She was born in Manassa, CO on April 22, 1939, and moved to Kingman, AZ with her family in 1968, making it their permanent home. She is preceded in death by her father, Joe B. Salazar, and mother Cora Salazar, along with several siblings. Gloria was a very involved member of the community.
