BULLHEAD CITY – Join Bullhead City’s Parks and Recreation Department for a nature walk through the Colorado River Nature Center located at 900 Richardo Ave. Recreation Supervisor David Wetherholt will be leading the walks on Friday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 a.m.
The walks are free and open to the public. Participants should wear closed toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, and bring their own water.
Participants will learn about the many species of animals, birds, insects, and local plant life as well as the desert ecosystem that supports a surprising amount of life along the Colorado River. As a bonus, you’ll be able to view the new bridge project connecting Bullhead City to the Laughlin, NV side, and the improvements that the bridge project brings to the environment around it from a distance.
Parties interested in learning more about the Colorado River Nature Center are recommended to check out the website at https://www.bullheadcity.com/community/park-directory/colorado-river-nature-center.
