Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash

BULLHEAD CITY – A man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was operating crashed with a vehicle in Bullhead City Wednesday. Police officers responded to the incident in the vicinity of Highway 95 and Riverview Drive at about 9:50 am.

“A motorcyclist, headed southbound on Highway 95, had reportedly collided with a vehicle that was eastbound on Riverview Drive,” said police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “According to witnesses, the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and went through a red light before colliding with the vehicle.”

Fromelt said the injured motorcycle operator in critical condition when flown to Las Vegas for treatment at University Medical Center. The name of the victim was not released and no other injuries were reported.

“Alcohol may also be a factor in the collision,” Fromelt added. “The investigation is ongoing.”
