Driver impaled on chain link fence flees before being tased

KINGMAN – On May 24 at about 3:30 a.m., Northern Arizona Fire District (NAFD) responded to the 2800 block of Packard Ave. for a reported gas leak. Upon arrival, a car was found crashed into a fence with a gas meter sheared off nearby.
An additional NAFD engine was requested down the street for a medical incident which was related to the vehicle crash. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle struck numerous objects on the side of the residential street and eventually came to a stop after the driver was impaled by a chain link fence.
The driver was able to exit the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene. MCSO apprehended the subject at the intersection of Bank St. and Packard Ave. who was later tased. The subject was transported to KRMC with injuries. The incident is still under investigation.

Not only is the headline poorly written, so is the article. The driver was impaled on the fence? Maybe the writer meant the car was impaled. Why would MCSO tase Packard Ave? Or, was it the intersection that got tased? I can see why the article has no byline. I would not want to take credit for the kind of writing either.
