Elementary, junior high school participate in annual Elks chess tournament

KINGMAN – The 26th Annual Elks Chess Tournament was held last month with both team and individual medal winners.
Team trophy winners were as follows: Primary first place: Manzanita, 18.5; primary second place, Hualapai, 6.5; primary third place, Kingman Academy of Learning, 5.0. Intermediate first place, Kingman Academy of Learning, 18; intermediate second place, Manzanita, 17; intermediate third place, Hualapai, 15.5. Jr. High first place, White Cliffs, 10.5; Jr. High second place, Kingman Academy of Learning, 4.5.
Individual medal winners in the primary category are: first place, James Migabon, Kingman Academy; second place, Cyrus Sprunt, Manzanita; third place, Layne Johnson, Hualapai; fourth place, Austin Alvarado, Manzanita; fifth place, Atreyn Ry-Alle Akers, Manzanita; sixth place, Ryan Haws, Hualapai; seventh place, Jacob Baldwin, Manzanita; eighth place, Jordan Taylo, Manzanita; ninth place, Elliot Costello, Manzanita; 10th place, Shiloh Hardy.
