Havasu auto crash fatal for one

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A deadly traffic accident is under investigation in Lake Havasu City. Police responded at 1:35 pm Sunday, April 30 to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 95 at the Palo Verde South intersection.
Detective Chris Angus said the driver of a 2017 Hyundai Accent, Jack Snelgrove, 93, Lake Havasu, was unresponsive when he was extricated from the vehicle. He died of his injuries following transport to Havasu Regional Medical Center.
Angus said investigation determined that Snelgrove was southbound on SR 95 when he attempted an improper left turn, prompting the head-on collision with a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The passenger of the Chevrolet was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while its driver did not require medical attention.
Angus said impairment does not appear to be a factor, but that investigation continues.
