Stepfather charged with sexual abuse

FT. MOHAVE – A Fort Mohave man faces prosecution for alleged, prolonged sexual relations with his teenage stepdaughter. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) investigation began April 12 when deputies responded to Valley View Medical Center where the alleged 18-year-old victim and her mother had a pregnancy test conducted.
MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said home and hospital tests both confirmed that the teenager who suffers from autism is pregnant.
“The victim told her mother that the father of the baby was her stepfather Jonathan Prescott,” Mortensen said. “The victim told her mother that Jonathan had been engaging in sexual contact with her since the age of 13.”
Mortensen said the victim’s mother advised authorities that she discovered several inappropriate images of her daughter on one of Prescott’s online accounts.
Prescott, 35, was arrested and charged with sexual conduct with a minor.
