St. Patrick’s Day DUI saturation patrol is out

MOHAVE COUNTY – Don’t rely on the “luck of the Irish” to get you home safely. Designate a sober driver before you celebrate!
Local law enforcement will be conducting DUI saturation patrols on Friday, March 17 in conjunction with the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Specially trained officers will be patrolling Bullhead City streets in search of drug and alcohol-impaired drivers.
This targeted enforcement effort was made possible in part by funds awarded by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to target and arrest impaired drivers.
Fines for first-time DUI offenders can exceed $10,000 and an arrest can lead to the impoundment of the involved vehicle for 20 days.
Remember to plan ahead and arrange a designated driver, cab or ride share.
