BHC police department to host job fair

BULLHEAD CITY – A new year, a new career! Save the date for Bullhead City Police Department’s job fair where those interested in a law enforcement career can meet and greet with our commanders representing all departments, including police officers, dispatchers, park rangers, transport officers and animal care and welfare officers.
In addition to the meet and greet evening, they will bw offering open testing days for anyone who is interested and eligible to begin the testing process to become a police officer, before even submitting an application!
The Meet & Greet with the Chief of Police, command staff and recruiter will be held Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bullhead City Police Training Room, 1255 Marina Blvd.
Open testing dates are Friday, Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 28 at 8 a.m., also in the training room.
Study guides will be provided with study time prior to the test. A maximum of 50 candidates are allowed. Doors will open 30 minutes before test time.
A physical aptitude test will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Rotary Park. Candidates will be timed to climb over a six-foot wall and chain link fence, and sprint another 25 yards, run a 99-yard obstacle course, complete a 500-yard run, and drag a lifelike 165-pound dummy 32 feet. Participants able to practice at the POPAT Rotary Park course location at any time
Participants must be 20 years old to apply and 21 years old prior to police academy graduation.
