Suspect arrested in Dolan Springs homicide

DOLAN SPRINGS – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has identified a suspect in the recent murder of a White Hills resident in the nearby community of Dolan Springs. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said Nevada authorities arrested Felipe Santaolalli, 46, in Las Vegas on Monday, December 5.
The Las Vegas man awaits extradition to Arizona to face prosecution for the November 30th shooting death of David Farris, 44. “Santaolalla has been identified as an acquaintance of the victim, however the motive for the shooting is still under investigation,” Mortensen said.
Deputies dispatched to the November 30 report of a shooting arrived at the residence in the 15000 block of N. Holly Drive to find civilians performing life saving measures at the scene. Farris was declared dead and the homicide is the focus of continuing investigation.
