Looking for a fun and casual boutique store that offers a little something for everyone? You can find that at Off the Flor Décor & More in Kingman.
The shop that opened its doors in February 2022 offers many treasure hunting opportunities.
Off the Flor carries unique pieces from local artisans, handpicked antiques, furniture, yard art, vintage collectibles, memory and remembrance items, insignia, jewelry, holiday items, beauty, bags and purses, accessories, candles, beautiful Southwest pictures, wooden flags of all sizes, dishes, vases, welcome signs … and the list goes on!
Owner Rhonda Brown says, “We do have the best inventory in town. We have new items every week – be sure to stop in often. Products change regularly and you will always find something that wasn’t here before.”
Brown was born and raised in Minnesota, and moved to Kingman in 1989. Her son was born and raised in Kingman.
She began collecting décor items many years ago, and she is very knowledgable about the items she sells. “From an early age, I was always on the lookout for treasure. My grandmother set an example when she took me to estate sales along with my father, who was always the negotiator. Opening my own business has always been a dream of mine. I decided to take small baby steps throughout the last couple of years, and finally made it!” Brown said. “I probably have the largest, most diverse inventory of any local business like this.”
The business, while newer, has been gaining momentum in the community, and in inventory. “We literally have hundreds of items on display for sale,” said Brown.
“There is something for everyone from the young to the young at heart! Many items can be customized with your own colors, sayings or designs, continued Brown. “Our peak hours are between 10:30 and 2:30 p.m., so if you want to avoid a crowd, come early or come late – no matter when you come, you are sure to find something you love!”
“I am excited about being part of the community and being able to help other businesses grow and succeed along with mine. My experience in retail surpasses 20 years, and by far the most enjoyable aspect I find is talking with customers and hearing about their interests and ideas,” said Brown. “It is very fun to have all the people in my store share the same passion as I do!”
In addition to maintaining a boutique open seven days per week, Off the Flor will also be at the KDMA Mingle Jingle event on Saturday, Dec. 3 and at Pitchfork Market on Sunday, Dec. 18. Both events are located inside Beale Celebrations in downtown Kingman.
