BULLHEAD CITY – Work continues to progress on the Exceptional Healthcare facility, and a Foundation Celebration is planned for Friday, Nov 18, with a ribbon cutting at 3:45 p.m. The construction site will host the event; it’s located at 2364 Hwy. 95 in Bullhead City, on the southwest corner of Hwy. 95 and Marina Boulevard.
The 20,000-sq-ft facility will be part of a mixed residential and commercial build and will include:
• Approximately 10 emergency exam rooms
• Approximately 10 inpatient rooms
• Imaging area
• Lab space
The hospital is the first tenant of a 268-acre parcel owned by CSQ H95 LLLP (City Square), which it purchased for $2.41 million at a public auction in December 2020. Zoning approval was obtained in spring 2022.
Once the building is up-and-running, Exceptional Healthcare will evaluate the needs of the community and add additional services or facilities to meet those needs. For example, if the community is under-served in imaging, current equipment and staffing will be enhanced, or, say the community needs a surgical center, that will be added. This first phase is budgeted at $20 million and will create approximately 100 jobs.
The Bullhead City facility is one of six facilities that Exceptional Healthcare is planning for Arizona. In addition to Bullhead City, Exceptional Healthcare facilities are under way or planned in Flagstaff, Kingman, Prescott and Yuma. Its first completed Arizona facility, and only to date, is in Maricopa County; it was its 15th overall build. Completion and opening of the Bullhead City facility is targeted for late 2023 or early 2024.
Exceptional Healthcare is based in Dallas, TX. For more information, contact Paula Hunt at 817-908-7588 or PHunt@ehc24.com.
