KINGMAN – The only Mohave County resident to be elected to a statewide office has died. Joe Hart, 78, died peacefully Sunday evening, September 11 with his wife Rhonda and their daughters by his side.
The Hart’s operated a number of business ventures over the years and the family still own and operate radio stations KGMN and KZKE FM, KYET AM, and TV-36.
Hart served in the Arizona House of Representatives for 10 years. He subsequently served 16 years more as Arizona State Mine Inspector before he retired last October.
Hart relished public service and was proud to call Arizona, Mohave County and Kingman home. He loved the life and tradition of the American Cowboy, but treasured his family more than anything else.
Arrangements are pending, but services will be held in Kingman.
