KINGMAN – A new facility that will serve as a parcel processing center for FedEx Ground is still under construction at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. Company spokesman Dave Hill said the 200,000 sq. ft. facility should be completed in time for the peak shipping season he said kicks off in November.
Hill said the FedEx facility in Oatman will close with team members relocating at the new distribution center.
“The station will be hiring to fill staffing needs, with recruiting for those positions starting closer to opening,” Hill said. “Open positions will mostly consist of part-time package handlers with growth opportunities.”
Hill said highway access and customer distribution center proximity are among reasons why FedEx picked its Kingman location.
