EDITOR’S NOTE: While the article in question clearly addresses a controversial and politically-charged subject, the author simply reported (in quotes) what protestors stated. The Standard firmly holds the position that the article in question is a news story and not an opinion piece.
In the June 29 issue of The Standard there was an article headlined “Overturning of Roe v Wade …” over the byline of Aaron Ricca.
While interesting, because personal opinions were included in the article, it would seem this column would be better suited for the editorial page. Once personal observations are included in an article it is no longer considered a news article and should be presented as an editorial.
The residents of Joshua Springs Senior Living in Bullhead City enjoy reading The Standard when it is distributed here and thank you for it.
